About Us:

Mesquite Trails Elementary School is located in the beautiful Oak Hills area of Hesperia and is one of twelve K-6 schools in the Hesperia Unified School District. The enrollment as of October 2002 was 698. The ethnic makeup of the school is: Black = 3%, Hispanic = 26%, White = 63%, other = 8%. Last year's API (Academic Performance Index) score was one of the highest in the district at 734, and the goal continues to be "800 by 2010!"

Mesquite Trails teaching staff includes 29 regular education teachers, 2 special education teachers, and a part-time instrumental music teacher. The number of credentialed teachers, the number of teachers relying on emergency credentials, and the number of teachers working outside their subject area of competence (subject waivers) at Mesquite Trails Elementary School is as follows:
